Biju Varghese - Orders issued. Biju Varghese 4) Letter No. HS.E/6239/2024-ACD-C2 dated 08.07.2025 of the Director of General Education. Order Shri. Biju Varghese had filed a case WP(C) No.7225/2023 requesting to upgrade the post of HSST-Junior (Hindi) to HSST (Hindi) at St. Stephen's HSS, Keerampara, Kothamangalam, Ernakulam. Since there was one post in the HSST (Junior) category for Hindi subject in the school, it was stated that there was no difficulty for students' learning, and thus the request to upgrade the post could not be considered at that time, and G.O (Rt) No.685/2024/G.Edn was issued implementing the judgment in reference (1). 2. Since he was handling more than 15 periods per week in the school, Shri. Biju Varghese filed another case WP(C) No.8400/2024 in the Hon'ble High Court requesting to upgrade the post of HSST-Junior (Hindi) to HSST (Hindi). Considering the case, the Hon'ble Court quashed the order in reference (2) and directed to provide benefits by treating the post in which the complainant is working as HSST, and issued the judgment in reference (3). 3. The Director of General Education has reported as per reference (4) that Shri. Biju Varghese has been handling more than 15 periods since 2005-06. 4. The Government examined the matter in detail. The post of HSST-Junior (Hindi) at St. Stephen's HSS, Keerampara, Kothamangalam, Ernakulam is upgraded to HSST (Hindi) with effect from the date of the order, and the judgment in reference (3) is implemented accordingly.
