GOVERNMENT OF KERALA Abstract Home Department - Police Department - Shifting of CCTV surveillance security cameras to the newly constructed buildings of the Pinarayi Police Station in Kannur City - Administrative sanction accorded - Orders issued. HOME (E) DEPARTMENT G.O.(Rt)No.2141/2026/HOME Dated,Thiruvananthapuram, 25-06-2026 Read:- 1) Letter No. H6-150123/2021/PHQ dated 30.04.2026 from the State Police Chief, Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. 2) G.O. (Rt) No.5072/2026/Fin dated 18.06.2026. ORDER As per the letter read as 1st paper above, the State Police Chief has informed that the construction of the new building for Pinarayi Police Station in Kannur City has been completed and as a result, all CCTV cameras (12 cameras in each police station) currently installed in the police station premises need to be relocated to the newly constructed police station buildings in accordance with the Hon' ble Supreme Court direction. It is also informed that a proposal has been received from M/s. Telecommunication Consultants India Limited (TCIL), for the dismantling and re-installation of CCTV equipment in the new Police Station building with an estimate amount of Rs.1,26,151/-per Police Station. 2) The State Police Chief has therefore requested to accord administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.1,26,151/- under the head of account 4055-00-207-88-installation of CCTV cameras in Police Stations for the dismantling, installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of IP-based CCTV surveillance security cameras in the newly constructed buildings of the Pinarayi Police Station in Kannur City with M/s. TCIL. 3) Government have examined the matter in detail and are pleased to accord administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.1,26,151/- (Rupees One Lakh Twenty Six Thousand One Hundred and Fifty One Only) for the dismantling, installation, testing, commissioning, operationalizing and maintenance of IP-based CCTV surveillance security cameras in the newly constructed buildings of the Pinarayi Police Station in Kannur City with M/s TCIL by debiting the expenditure under the head of account '4055-00-207-88-Installation of CCTV Cameras'. 4) As per Government order read as 2nd paper above, an amount of Rs. 1,27,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Twenty Seven Thousand Only) has been additionally authorised, for the said purpose.
