Government of Kerala. Abstract: Industries Department - Free Handloom School Uniform Scheme 2026-27 Financial Year - Release sanction granted for Rs 30 Crore for project activities. Industries (C) Department. G.O.(Rt) No.953/2026/ID dated Thiruvananthapuram, 14-08-2026. Reference: 1. G.O.(Rt) No.718/2026/Ind dated 13/07/2026. 2. G.O.(Rt) No.720/2026/Ind dated 14/07/2026. 3. Letters No.HL/1322/2026-P2 dated 23/07/2026 and No.HL/1060/2026-C2 dated 31/07/2026 from the Director of Handlooms. Order: For the 2026-27 financial year Free Handloom School Uniform Scheme, administrative sanction was granted for Rs 56 Crore under the head 2202-01-102-95(02) as per Budget Statements Alteration 2026-27, and release sanction was granted for Rs 9,20,00,000/- as the first installment for the current financial year under head 2202-01-102-95(02)(P) as per reference (1). Additionally, release sanction was granted for Rs 2 Crore under head 2202-01-102-95-02(P) for the dailying charges of the 2025-26 financial year which were sanctioned but not received due to treasury restrictions, as per reference (2). (2) There are arrears of Rs 43.50 Crore for the Free Handloom School Uniform Scheme as listed below. Therefore, the Director of Handlooms requested to sanction funds to clear the arrears in connection with Onam as per reference (3) and submitted utilization certificates for Rs 11.2 Crore sanctioned for the 2026-27 financial year. (3) The Government examined the matter in detail. Sanction is hereby accorded for the release of Rs 30 Crore under the head 2202-01-102-95-02(P) for the activities of the Free Handloom School Uniform Scheme for the 2026-27 financial year.
