Government of Kerala Abstract Home Department - Permission granted to refund the excess house rent deducted from the salary of Shri. Balachandran. G, Assistant Commissioner of Police (PEN 139615). Home (D) Department G.O.(Rt) No. 2153/2026/HOME Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 26-06-2026 Reference: Letter No. F2-179914/2025/PHQ dated 21.01.2026 from the State Police Chief. Order The State Police Chief, vide the reference cited, submitted a proposal to the Government stating that Shri. Balachandran. G, Assistant Commissioner of Police (PEN 139615), vacated the quarters allotted to him in Malappuram district on 11.02.2025. However, house rent was deducted from his salary until August 2025. Consequently, a total amount of ₹11,232/- (₹10,200/- for 6 months from March 2025 at the rate of ₹1,700/- per month, and ₹1,032/- for the period from 12/02/2025 to 28/02/2025) is to be refunded to him. The officer has submitted an application for the same, and the State Police Chief requested permission to refund this amount. 2. The Government has examined the matter. As per the proposal, permission is hereby granted to refund the excess house rent of ₹11,232/- deducted from the salary of Shri. Balachandran. G, Assistant Commissioner of Police (PEN 139615), from the same head of account under which it was originally credited. For this purpose, a DDO shall be designated, and the designated DDO shall approach the Treasury after enabling the 'Refund Master' in BIMS, along with the administrative sanction order and details of the amount remitted.
