Order
As per the SDRF norms, administrative sanction for Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh only) was granted for the restoration of roads damaged in monsoon calamities as per the referred order. Although an agreement was signed for the Manippadi Jalar Road restoration work in Madhur Grama Panchayat, Kasaragod Block, Kasaragod District, the work could not be completed within the administrative sanction period due to intermittent rains which hindered the tarring work. In this situation, the District Collector requested, as per the referred letter, to condone the delay in completion of the work and grant permission to allow the final bill amount.
2. The Government examined the matter in detail. Considering the recommendation of the District Collector and the explanation of the implementing officer, the Government hereby ratifies the action of entering into a contract after the expiry of the period for the Manippadi Jalar Road restoration work in Madhur Grama Panchayat, Kasaragod Block, Kasaragod District, which received administrative sanction as per the referred order, condones the delay in completion of the work, and grants permission to the District Collector to release the final bill amount after deducting the fine as per the PWD Department manual based on the contract from the amount spent for the work permissible under SDRF norms.
