Order
Government had issued orders vide reference (1) authorizing the Commissioner for Government Examinations to correct the name in the SSLC book for those applying for name correction based on a Gazette notification. However, no specific fee was fixed for this. The fee of Rs. 30/- fixed for other corrections was being charged for this as well. The Kerala Legislative Assembly Subject Committee VI (Education) recommended to the Government to increase the existing fee of Rs. 30/- charged for name correction in the SSLC certificate to Rs. 150/-. The Commissioner for Government Examinations reported vide reference (3) that considering the cost of the new certificate and printing expenses, the fee of Rs. 30/- is very low and it is essential to increase the fee proportionately from the existing Rs. 30/-.
2) Government examined the matter in detail. Based on the recommendation of the Kerala Legislative Assembly Subject Committee VI (Education) and the report of the Commissioner for Government Examinations, the Government hereby orders to increase the existing fee of Rs. 30/- charged for name correction in the SSLC certificate to Rs. 150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only).
