Order: Permission was granted as per reference (1) to provide financial assistance of Rs 300/- per day for 30 days to two individuals per family from SDRF for families who lost their livelihood in the landslide that occurred on 30/07/2024 in wards 10, 11, 12 of Meppadi Grama Panchayat in Vellarimala village of Meppadi Taluk, Wayanad district, and additionally Rs 300/- per day for 30 days from CMDRF for one person in families with patients undergoing long-term treatment/bedridden patients. Permission was granted as per references (2) and (3) to continue this assistance for up to 90 days, and as per reference (4) for a further 9 months. As per reference (5), permission was granted to continue the assistance for 6 months (June 2026) or until the house construction is completed and keys are handed over, whichever is earlier. 2. Since the livelihoods of the disaster victims are not fully restored, it is decided as per reference (7) that the rent, livelihood allowance, and Supplyco food coupons currently allowed until June 2026 should be extended for another 3 months, and for the 177 families who received houses in the first phase in the township, livelihood allowance and Supplyco food coupons should be extended for another 3 months, and rent should be allowed only until June 30. 3. The Wayanad District Collector reports as per reference (8) that for the continued payment of livelihood allowance to the Mundakkai-Chooralmala disaster victims, Rs 1,05,30,000/- per month is required from SDRF for families who lost their livelihood, and Rs 1,26,000/- per month is required from CMDRF for the additional assistance of Rs 300/- per day for one person in families with bedridden patients. 4. The government examined this in detail. Permission is granted to continue the financial assistance for 3 months to 2 individuals per family who lost their livelihood in the Meppadi landslide, and the additional assistance of Rs 300/- per day from CMDRF for one person in families with bedridden patients. Accordingly, Rs 3,15,90,000/- (Rupees Three Crore Fifteen Lakh Ninety Thousand only) from the State Disaster Response Fund head 2245-02-101-94-01 Flood and Other Items, and Rs 3,78,000/- (Rupees Three Lakh Seventy-Eight Thousand only) from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund are sanctioned to the Wayanad District Collector. Additionally, rent is sanctioned for the 177 families who received houses in the first phase in the township until June 30, and for the remaining beneficiaries for another 3 months. 5. The Finance Officer of the Disaster Management Department shall take steps to allocate Rs 3,15,90,000/- as SDRF share from the head 2245-02-101-94-01 Flood and Other Items to the Wayanad District Collector. The Revenue (DRF C) Department shall take steps to provide the CMDRF share of Rs 3,78,000/- to the Wayanad District Collector. 6. The Wayanad District Collector shall provide a detailed proposal for the rent allowance as per the decision in reference 7.
