Government of Kerala. Local Self Government Department - Extension of contract appointment of Civil Engineers working on contract basis in Life Mission in the districts until the end of the current term - Order issued. Local Self Government (DE) Department G.O.(Rt) No.1210/2026/LSGD Date, Thiruvananthapuram, 01-07-2026. Reference:- 1. G.O.(Rt) No.2323/2024/LSGD dated 29/11/2024. 2. Letter No. LM.4/10/2021/Life Contract dated 10/11/2025 of the Chief Executive Officer, Life Mission. Order: The Chief Executive Officer of Life Mission has requested to extend the contract period of Civil Engineers working on contract basis in Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Kozhikode districts for one more year after the expiry of the contract period extended as per reference (1). 2. The Government examined this matter in detail. The Government hereby issues an order granting permission to extend the contract appointment of the employees working in the post of Civil Engineer in Life Mission until the period mentioned in the list, subject to the following conditions, ensuring that the required two-day break is provided on the contract appointment dates. Conditions: i. The general criteria in the G.O.(P) No.54/2025/Fin order issued by the Finance (Expenditure) Department fixing the service and salary conditions of contract employees must be strictly followed. ii. The condition that the prescribed qualification criteria must be possessed by the department should be included in the contract. (Table: 1.
