Government of Kerala Official Language - Mother Tongue Summary Disaster Management Department - Sanctioning funds from CMDRF to the District Collector, Wayanad, for providing rental allowance to families who lost their livelihood in the Chooralmala/Mundakkai landslide disaster. G.O.(Rt) No. 273/2026/DMD dated 03.07.2026 Order The District Collector, Wayanad, has requested to provide rental allowance for 3 more months (June, July, August 2026) to 423 people who were displaced due to the landslide and are currently receiving house rent, as per reference (1), and to sanction an additional amount of ₹76,14,000/- (Rupees Seventy-six lakhs and fourteen thousand only) from the CMDRF. As per reference (4), an order was issued granting rent to 177 families who received houses in the first phase in the township until June 30, and to the remaining beneficiaries for the next 3 months. The District Collector was also directed to provide a detailed proposal for the rental allowance. 2. The Government has examined the matter in detail. Sanction is hereby accorded to release ₹76,14,000/- (Rupees Seventy-six lakhs and fourteen thousand only) from the CMDRF to the District Collector, Wayanad, for providing rent to those who lost their homes in the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslide disaster, with the condition that rent is provided to the 177 families who received houses in the first phase of the township until June 30, and to the remaining beneficiaries for the next 3 months. The District Collector must report the remaining amount to the Government. 3. The Revenue (DRF) Department shall take necessary steps to release the funds from the CMDRF.
