Order
Orders were issued as per reference (1) to grant five lakh rupees each to the families of those who died in the accident where a soil-laden tipper lorry (KL-12-D-9578) overturned on the people at the junction on the road from Neeleswaram to Kottarakkara in Neduvathur Village, Kottarakkara Taluk, Kollam District on 23.06.2026, and to bear the entire medical expenses of the injured from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.
2. Orders were issued as per reference (2) to grant 2,99,452/- rupees spent from 23.06.2026 to 26.06.2026 for the treatment of Master Kaushal, S/o Santhosh Kumar, Annur, Ezhukone, Ambalathukala, Kollam, who was on a ventilator following the accident.
3. The Kollam District Medical Officer, as per references (3) and (4), reported that Master Kaushal is still in critical condition on a ventilator and 1,65,032/- rupees has been spent for his treatment from 26.06.2026 to 01.07.2026, and that 2,80,775/- rupees has been spent from 23.06.2026 to 01.07.2026 for the treatment of Rishabh Boban, S/o M. Boban, Deepalayam, Annur, Ezhukone, Ambalathukala, Kollam, who was injured in the accident and is currently discharged from the hospital and staying at home, and that this amount is admissible. Therefore, the Kollam District Collector requested as per reference (5) to sanction a total of 4,45,807/- rupees for the medical expenses of the two children.
4. The Government examined the matter in detail. Orders are issued sanctioning a total of 4,45,807/- rupees (Four lakh forty-five thousand eight hundred and seven rupees only) from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund, including 1,65,032/- rupees spent for the treatment of Kaushik (S/o Santhosh Kumar, Annur, Ezhukone, Ambalathukala, Kollam) from 26.06.2026 to 01.07.2026, and 2,80,775/- rupees spent for the treatment of Rishabh Boban (S/o M. Boban, Deepalayam, Annur, Ezhukone, Ambalathukala, Kollam) from 23.06.2026 to 01.07.2026, who are continuing treatment after being injured in the accident at Neeleswaram Junction, Kollam District.
5. The amount of 4,45,807/- rupees (Four lakh forty-five thousand eight hundred and seven rupees only) required for distribution shall be sanctioned to the Kollam District Collector from the T.P.80 account in the name of the Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, who is the Treasurer of the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. The District Collector shall take steps to distribute the amount and inform the Government of the action taken.
