Government of Kerala Abstract: Revenue Department - Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund - Order issued sanctioning the medical expenses from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund for Kaushik, S/o Santhosh Kumar, who was injured in a tipper lorry accident at Neeleshwaram Mukkanimukku Junction in Neduvathur Village, Kottarakkara Taluk, Kollam District. Letter No. D2-3163/26/DMO dated 29.06.2026 from the District Medical Officer (Health), Kollam 3. Letter No. DCKLM/6461/2026-N7 dated 01.07.2026 from the District Collector, Kollam. Order: As per reference 1, it was ordered that the families of those who died in the accident where a soil-laden tipper lorry (KL-12-D-9578) overturned on people at Mukkanimukku Junction on the road from Neeleshwaram to Kottarakkara in Neduvathur Village, Kottarakkara Taluk, Kollam District on 23.06.2026, be granted five lakh rupees each, and that the entire medical expenses of the injured be borne by the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. 2. Following the accident, the District Collector, Kollam, requested via reference 3 that an amount of 2,99,452/- rupees, incurred for treatment from 23.06.2026 to 26.06.2026 for 15-year-old Kaushik, S/o Santhosh Kumar, Amboor, Ezhukone, Ambalamukkal, Kollam, who is on a ventilator, be sanctioned as the first installment due to the family's financial difficulties. The District Medical Officer (Health), Kollam, reported via reference 2 that 2,99,452/- rupees is admissible after verifying the medical bills. 3. The government examined the matter in detail. An order is issued sanctioning 2,99,452/- rupees (Two lakh ninety-nine thousand four hundred and fifty-two rupees only) from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund for the treatment expenses of Kaushik (S/o Santhosh Kumar, Amboor, Ezhukone, Kollam), who is undergoing treatment after being injured in the accident at Neeleshwaram Mukkanimukku Junction, Neduvathur Village, Kottarakkara Taluk, Kollam District, for the period from 23.06.2026 to 26.06.2026. 4. The amount of 2,99,452/- (Two lakh ninety-nine thousand four hundred and fifty-two rupees only) required for distribution shall be sanctioned to the District Collector, Kollam, from the T.P.80 account in the name of the Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, who is the Treasurer of the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.
