Government of Kerala Revenue (DRF-A) Department G.O.(Ms) No.157/2026/RD Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 15-03-2026 ORDER As per reference (1), orders were issued to provide financial assistance of Rs. 5000/- per month via DBT for a period of 3 years (36 months) from the month of receiving the first relief to BPL families dependent on persons who died/are dying due to COVID-19, and to bear the expenses from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) until the required amount is allocated in the budget. Based on this, the Land Revenue Commissioner, as per reference (2), recommended the sanctioning of an additional amount of Rs. 6,83,75,000/- (Rupees Six Crore Eighty-Three Lakh Seventy-Five Thousand only) required for the year 2023-24 (Thiruvananthapuram - Rs. 1,21,90,000/-, Kollam - Rs. 2,12,95,000/-, Kottayam - Rs. 14,40,000/-, Thrissur - Rs. 3,34,50,000/-) from the CMDRF. 2) The Government has examined the matter in detail and hereby orders the sanctioning of Rs. 6,83,75,000/- (Rupees Six Crore Eighty-Three Lakh Seventy-Five Thousand only) from the CMDRF for the year 2023-24 for the scheme providing monthly financial assistance of Rs. 5000/- for three years to BPL families dependent on persons who died due to COVID-19. 3) The required amount of Rs. 6,83,75,000/- (Rupees Six Crore Eighty-Three Lakh Seventy-Five Thousand only) shall be sanctioned from the T.P.80 account in the name of the Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, who is the Treasurer of the CMDRF, to the concerned District Collectors. The District Collectors shall distribute the amount without delay and inform the Government. 4) It is also ordered that the cut-off date for the COVID BPL pension scheme, which provides monthly financial assistance of Rs. 5000/- for three years to BPL families dependent on persons who died due to COVID-19, shall be the date of this order.
