GOVERNMENT OF KERALA Abstract Health & Family Welfare Department- Congenital absence of Uterus as Disability- Government order Cancelled- Orders issued HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE (G) DEPARTMENT G.O.(Ms)No.152/2026/H&FWD Dated,Thiruvananthapuram, 25-06-2026 Read : GO (Ms) No.165/2017/H&FWD , Dated 18.11.2017 ORDER As per the Government Order read as 1st above, Government had declared 'congenital absence of uterus' as 50% disability for the purpose of disability assessment, in view of the recommendation of the State Human Rights Commission in HRMP/15/MPM/HRC. Government have examined the matter in detail. As per Section 56 of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the specification and inclusion of disabilities fall within the purview of the Central Government and as such the Government Order issued vide reference cited is ultra vires the Act. In the above circumstances, Government hereby order that the Government Order read as 1st above stands cancelled with immediate effect.
