Order: Regarding the land in Block No. 35, Re-survey No. 97/7 A, measuring 35.93 Ares in Thannermukkom South Village, Cherthala Taluk, Alappuzha District, which was recorded as 'Nilam' (paddy land) in the settlement register, the District Collector had initiated proceedings under Section 13 of the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act 2008 against the unauthorized conversion. Sri. T.G. Paul filed WP(C) No. 42837/2025 against these proceedings. Based on the Hon'ble High Court's directions in the judgment (Ref 2), the petitioner filed a revision petition (Ref 3) with the Government. After detailed examination of the reports and arguments raised during the hearing, and considering various High Court judgments, the Government finds the proceedings of the District Collector (Ref 1) to be illegal. Therefore, the revision petition (Ref 3) is allowed, the proceedings of the District Collector (Ref 1) are cancelled, and the judgment of the Hon'ble High Court (Ref 2) is implemented.
