Government of Kerala Abstract Women and Child Development Department - State Nirbhaya Cell - Order issued granting financial assistance under the Ashasa Nidhi scheme. Women and Child Development (B) Department G.O.(Rt) No.222/2026/WCDD Date, Thiruvananthapuram, 01-07-2026 Reference:- 1. G.O.(Rt) No.701/2018/SWD dated 10.12.2018. 2. G.O.(Rt) No. 101/2021/SWD dated 08.11.2021. 3. Letter No. DWCD/7283/2024-NCD dated 19.05.2026 from the Director of Women and Child Development. Order Administrative sanction was granted for the 'Ashasa Nidhi' scheme to provide immediate relief to women and children who are victims of sexual violence, acid attacks, brutal murders, and gender-based violence, and the scheme was amended as per reference (2) based on reference (1). The Director of Women and Child Development, as per reference (3), has requested to grant permission to include a survivor, who is a victim of domestic violence and has become chronically ill due to constant harassment from her alcoholic husband, in the Ashasa Nidhi scheme and grant her Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-five thousand only), by waiving the delay of more than three years in submitting the application for financial assistance under the scheme, as recommended by the Wayanad Women Protection Officer. (2) The Government has examined the matter in detail. Based on the request of the Director of Women and Child Development as per reference (3), the Government hereby orders to include the survivor recommended by the Wayanad Women Protection Officer in the Ashasa Nidhi scheme and grants her Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-five thousand only).
