Government of Kerala Abstract Social Justice Department - Kerala Social Security Mission - State Initiative on Disabilities - Administrative sanction issued for utilizing funds for rehabilitation project activities for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Proposals dated 10.07.26 and 13.07.26 from the Executive Director, Kerala Social Security Mission. 2. Proceedings of the Departmental Working Group meeting held on 17.07.2026. Order Projects are being implemented under the State Initiative on Disabilities of the Kerala Social Security Mission to ensure the comprehensive progress and rehabilitation of children affected by autism by providing necessary special care and behavioral-educational therapies. 2. An amount of ₹3,75,00,000/- (Three crore seventy-five lakh rupees only) has been allocated in the current financial year under the head 2235-02-101-69(7)(P) for rehabilitation projects for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Executive Director, Kerala Social Security Mission, has requested administrative sanction to utilize ₹2,76,82,670/- (Two crore seventy-six lakh eighty-two thousand six hundred and seventy rupees only) to conduct two projects under the said rehabilitation schemes as per reference (1). 3. The said proposals have been approved as items 5-6 in the Departmental Working Group meeting as per reference (2). The details of the two proposals and the expenses incurred for them are attached below. 1. Proposal for Continuing the activities of Regional Autism Rehabilitation & Research Centre (RARRC) at NIPMR, Thrissur (HR component) - 40,75,120. 2. Proposal for continuing the activities of Autism Centres in Govt. Medical Colleges - Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Manjeri, Pariyaram and IMHANS Kozhikode (Human Resource component and Operational expenses) - 2,36,07,550. Total ₹2,76,82,670. 4. The Government examined the matter in detail. Administrative sanction is issued to spend ₹2,76,82,670/- (Two crore seventy-six lakh eighty-two thousand six hundred and seventy rupees only) from the amount allocated under the head 2235-02-101-69(07)(P) for the financial year 2026-27 for conducting rehabilitation projects for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, subject to the condition that it shall be subject to the existing orders of the Finance Department regarding the surrender of earned leave of the employees appointed in the project.
